Meanwhile, Lebanon County has the 5th highest jail admission rate of all 67 counties. 7.6 million were admitted into our jails throughout the United States in 2023. In 2023 472,228 people were admitted into state and federal prison system. At year’s end, the total population of federal and state prisons added up to 1,254,200. In 2023, roughly 450,000 people were released from prison. With 62% being rearrested within three years of release, and 39% seeing jail time, 280,000 of the 450K releases are expected to be rearrested. 94% of Jail Admissions are released back to the community(Thanks Google - for doing the math)
